UBC-UAEMer named Rhodes Scholar

Congratulations are in order for founding UBC-UAEM member, microbiology and immunology student, and humanitarian extraordinaire Emma Preston, who this week was awarded the highly prestigious Rhodes scholarship!

The scholarship is worth $150,000 to study for three years at Oxford University in England; Emma is hoping to use the opportunity to do a Master’s degree in global health science. Only one student in British Columbia is awarded this scholarship each year, and we can confirm that this year’s recipient is supremely well-deserving of the honour. Way to go, Emma!
